Buchanan brings to life the character Rose Larkin, a tech genius and the niece of two murdered night agents, in "The Night Agent." Meanwhile, Basso plays FBI agent Peter Sutherland, who teams up with Larkin to discover criminal conspiracies in the white house.
"The Night Agent" is still slowly climbing to Netflix's Most Popular TV list, overtaking "Stranger Things 3." The show's success is the product of Buchanan and Basso's talents, alongside the show's entire cast and crew. Since its release, Buchanan's fan base has grown exponentially, with many wondering who she is romantically involved with.

Born and raised in New Zealand, Buchanan is of Scottish and Tongan descent. She studied drama and psychology at the University of Auckland in line with her goal to become a successful actress.

Buchanan also attended Fiona Edgar's Acting for Screen classes at Auckland Performing Arts Center and Miranda Harcourt's Screen Acting for Teens Workshop.

Although several professionals trained her, Buchanan credits her dad, Geoff Buchanan, for helping her reach her dreams in the industry. She said:
"You've been my biggest supporter since day 1, going above and beyond for us [...] Taking time off work so you could drive me to auditions when I was still at school because you knew this was what I wanted to do."
