While there have been positive aspects of my time in the Oldham County School District, I feel it is crucial to express some areas where I believe improvements can be made. One of the main concerns I've encountered is It appears that there is a need for more comprehensive guidance on the college application process, scholarship opportunities, and other critical aspects of preparing for higher education. Clearer communication and guidance from the administration would undoubtedly alleviate some of the stress and uncertainty that many seniors, including myself, have experienced. Additionally, there seems to be room for improvement in the administration's responsiveness to individual student needs. There have been instances where concerns or questions were not given the attention they deserved. A more attentive and approachable administrative team would greatly contribute to fostering a positive and supportive environment for all students.

Administration at my school personally is not very supportive of the arts, I’m not sure if it’s the same across all Oldham County schools. If you’re more of an academic, that’s probably your best aim. I wouldn’t say sports are very professional but I figure it’s fun for the people that play.

Oldham county schools have done a great job of preparing me for post high school experiences. They have classes that prepare you for life beyond basic academics like cooking class, finance classes, home economics, psychology, how to build a resume, facts class, and basic skills. All the teachers are extremely helpful and supportive. They really care about you as a person and go out of their way to make sure you have all the tools to help you to be successful while you are at their school, but to thrive thereafter as well. They have a variety of classes to chose from and are helpful when you are building your schedule. They extra curricular programs are amazing and diverse and they really reach out to you to be a part of the school community. I have had excellent teachers and have made life long friends. I don't have a lot that I would like to see change!
